There is a saying that goes, “We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children.” How true! In recent times, mothers like myself have become more and more concerned about the garbage we create and the ways it is disposed of. It is so important that garbage isn't allowed to pollute the environment and is safely recycled or destroyed. This blog explores the various methods of garbage removal and the options available. I hope there is something of interest for anyone who cares about the environment and general cleanliness. Let us take the lid off the great rubbish bin of garbage removal and see what we find inside. Living in a clean environment has positive effects, especially on your health.  In keeping your environment and surroundings clean, you should be able to take care of rubbish or waste. At a larger scale, governments, through local authorities and other agencies, are tasked with the responsibility of collecting and disposing waste. There are several methods used in disposing the waste.

Recycling

This is one of the most popular methods of waste disposal. Among other benefits, this method ensures that waste is put into good and useful ways. The waste can be converted into usable energy, fuel, or electricity. Recycling preserves natural resources for future use, reduces emission of greenhouse gases, and reduces pollution.  At your home, recycling can be one of the options in your rubbish management. Not everything should be thrown away. For example, some food that you are thinking of throwing away can be fed to your pets.  Large meat bones are a favourite for dogs, while rabbits will enjoy vegetable peels. Animals such as pigs can eat almost anything, and you don't have to worry about how to manage garbage from your kitchen if you keep them – pigs.

Landfills

Ever wondered where those trucks full of garbage usually go? Well, their most popular destination is at a landfill. Often, garbage removal services end with the loads of garbage taken to a landfill. This method of waste disposal involves burying the waste in the land.  In the process of waste disposal, several precautions are undertaken to ensure the garbage is not a danger even as it is buried in the land. In addition, the odour is eliminated using various processes. You cannot have a landfill at your home. All you have to do is to let garbage collectors collect the garbage and take it to designated landfill areas.

Composting

This is a natural method that involves turning organic waste into nutrient rich food. This is a method of rubbish management you should consider if you own a farm, or have a garden at your home. You can use leftovers of your food or cooking, remains of plants or garden as your raw materials to produce the nutrients. Compositing is good for organic farming, and allows you to convert your garbage into more useful forms.  If you own a garden, compositing can keep it – your garden – flourishing all year round. That way, you have a way of managing your rubbish at home and see the positive side of the garbage.
